Satisfied Hearts

The only people with satisfied hearts are those who are where God wants them to be, doing what God wants them to do and saying what God wants them to say. Our hearts need to be where God wants them to be. That is the way they are designed. The hearts of unbelievers are never satisfied. The hearts of believers find occasional satisfaction because they are occasionally where the Lord wants them to be. The oftener that they realize their satisfaction comes from being in God*s will, the oftener they will be willing to be there. The satisfaction of unbelievers is artificial and temporary. It is fool*s gold.

Psalms 17:15: As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

Whenever individuals are where God wants them to be, doing and saying what God wants them to do and say, they are like Jesus. They have his likeness and they are satisfied.

Ephesians 3:17a: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; . . .

Luke 6:45: A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

We cannot be where God wants us to be and we cannot do what God wants us to do without Christ in our hearts. Before we have Christ in our hearts, they are influenced by Satan and have his likeness and they are unsatisfied. When Christ lives in our hearts, they are influenced by Him and acquire His likeness. Our hearts are designed to need Christ living in them and they are completely satisfied only by Him. There are countless souls all around us with unsatisfied hearts. Satan leads them to seek everything except the one thing they truly need, which in Christ in their hearts.

My advice to the unsatisfied: Surrender your heart to the Lord Jesus.

My advice to the occasionally satisfied: Ask the Lord what He wants you to do, do it and pay close attention to how satisfied you are when you do it.
